METALITY UAE Interviews RAM Battle Finalists

M E TA L ITY UAE recently caught up with the finalists of the "Musician's Warehouse/Metal Asylum RAM Battle," that features UAE's best hard rock and metal bands battle it out for the title "RAM MASTER (Rock and Metal Master)."

METALITY favorites Coat of Arms (Metalcore) will be facing off against hard rockers Riff Raff on January 28th at Club 7, Park Regis Hotel.

Our sister site METALITY UAE caught up with the bands to get their thoughts on the final round of the competition, as well their two cents on each other, among other topics.

Here's an excerpt from both interviews:

Metality UAE: What do you think of Riff Raff and are you worried?

Coat of Arms: We’re definitely worried about Riff Raff. They’re a great band that sound extremely tight, and are particularly smart when it comes to their arrangements. They won the 7th Rock night, so they can’t win that and then suddenly become a bad band overnight, so they’re definitely strong competition. We think they’re strong favorites, purely because Rock always comes off stronger than metal when it’s done properly (which they do). Fundamentally, any band that wins a competition becomes stiff opposition by rule of thumb. With all that said, we hope we can put up a good fight and in the case of both bands, form is temporary but class is permanent.

Metality UAE: What do you think of Coat of Arms and are you worried?

Ray: Seen these guys twice now and have been very impressed. I’d say I was a fan but we can’t get too buddy buddy now can we. . . . healthy respect is what I’m preaching here. But best of luck to them. It’s going to take a quality performance to win this thing…….

Sean: They are f***ing great! Saw them first time at the thrash metal gig you guys organised and we were blown away. My wife even likes them and she was an 80s chick! I’m not too worried because if we put a good set in, we should at least come second…

Johnny: Call me old fashioned, but i just cant be doing with all that Death Metal Thrash Slaughter Kill, Kill, Kill bullshit….that said…they do fcukin good job at it!
