I've been blasting the new Human Abstract record "Digital Veil" (out now!) for the past month, and I'm still digesting how great it is!

Before I heard anything from Digital Veil, I was skeptical as to how they will sound since former vocalist Nathan Ells used to say in interviews that A.J. Minette wanted to shift the band towards a softer sound, turning them into a prog rock group. And that The Human Abstract were first and foremost a heavy metal band. Let's ignore that and forget how Midheaven turned out to be, because he claimed it would've been a lot lighter and more rock oriented if A.J. was still in the band.

Nathan now has a new band, called SUNLIT ETHER. They released 3 demo songs currently streaming on their Myspace and Reverbnation pages. I'm not going to say anything, I'm going to post the demos and a song from the new Human Abstract record and you be the judge:

Alternative Press are currently streaming a crushing! New song from THE HUMAN ABSTRACT, titled "Complex Terms." Taken from the band's upcoming album "Digital Veil," out March 8th via eOne Music.

I almost twisted my neck off, listening to the song for the first time. Simply, mind shattering! "Digital Veil" will definitely be one of the best releases of the year!

Mighty progressive metal heavyweights THE HUMAN ABSTRACT have posted another song from their highly anticipated 3rd studio effort "Digital Veil." The follow-up to 2008's Midheaven.

"Patterns," is yet another beautifully monstrous track, proving the band's strong musical roots and that Travis Richter is a worthy addition to the fold.

To listen to "Patterns" head over to the band's official Facebook page, "like them" and then hit the "Listen" tab. And BAM! You're streaming a new THA song.

Finally! I'm starting to get my fix of THE HUMAN ABSTRACT's new album "Digital Veil."

The band premiered a new song titled "Faust" online, yesterday through their sites. The song is almost 6 minutes long, and filled with THA's vintage blazing fast, futuristic riffs, extremely precise and heavy as fuck drumming, and the addition of Ex-From First To Last vocalist Travis Richter, who does an excellent job. Seriously, I was blown away by his vocal range; the dude can growl the fuck out!

THE HUMAN ABSTRACT's latest album "Digital Veil" is set for an early 2011 release via Hopeless Records. Exact date is yet to be determined.

I seriously can not wait to get this release cranked up all the way to 11; as I slay my way through countless numbers of elitist douche bags.

Prog heavyweights The Human Abstract, have announced the title for their upcoming 3rd studio album "Digital Veil" which is scheduled for an early 2011 release via Hopeless Records.

That's right bitches!

Prog juggernauts The Human Abstract are currently in the studio working on their follow up to 2008's "Midheaven" which is slated for a late 2010 release.

An official press release about the recording can be read below:

The Human Abstract are prepared to enter the studio with William Putney (Lamb of God, Suicide Silence) of The Machine Shop in NJ (later this month/July) to begin work on their upcoming full length album for Hopeless Records. The band has been tucked away in downtown Los Angeles writing and preparing for their upcoming release. The album is currently slated for a fall release date, stay tuned for more details.

"These new songs are among the most difficult THA songs to play, but at the same time are more satisfying. Past songs sometimes felt more like exercises, these feel more well rounded with moments that are really fun to play," voices guitarist Dean Herrera.

The Human Abstract recently announced a line-up change, with the addition of frontman and vocalist, Travis Richter formerly of From First to Last and The Color of Violence. The band also welcomed back original guitarist/songwriter A.J. Minette, leading the helm on writing duties for the new record.

"Without a doubt, this album has allowed me to step up not only as a bass player but as a Musician. We're stronger than ever before. I am super pumped for all our fans old and new to hear it," bassist Henry Selva adds.
