Massive riffs, noisy guitars and a keen sense of melody push Fever into the hot zone of 2010 rock-metal discs. The British band's visceral assault bulldozes most of the feeble lyrics, except in the case of power ballad Bittersweet Memories, a valentine that didn't dodge Bullet's high-school smarm. — Edna Gundersen, USA TODAY

I actually posted about this yesterday, but I received a couple of press releases from JIVE Records with a lot more information about the album release date (April 27th), upcoming video and single, and more.

Here it is:

New York, NY- Hard rock band Bullet For My Valentine returns with its third Jive album, "Fever," on April 27. The official first single, the blistering “Your Betrayal” impacts at radio on March 9, with a video to follow shortly.

Fever pairs Bullet For My Valentine with producer Don Gilmore, best known for his work with Linkin Park and Good Charlotte.

The Welsh band—vocalist/guitarist Matt Tuck, guitarist Michael Paget, bassist Jason James and drummer Michael Thomas--recorded Fever in studios both in its native Wales and Los Angeles.

The album follows 2008’s Scream Aim Fire, which debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, a career high for the group, whom Kerrang! named Best British Band in both 2008 and 2009.

Worldwide Scream Aim Fire has sold one million copies and debuted in the Top 5 in Germany, Austria, Australia and #1 in Japan and reached gold status in the UK and Canada. Their 2006 debut, The Poison, has sold a million copies worldwide and certified gold status in America, the UK, Canada and Germany. Since those releases BFMV have rocked audiences on the Taste of Chaos, Mayhem, and No Fear festivals.

Eager to get new music into their fans’ hands as quickly as possible, BFMV is offering album track “Begging For Mercy” as a free download for a limited time at BulletForMyValentine.com.

The electrifying live band starts a headlining U.S. tour on April 30th. Stops for the festival veterans include New Jersey’s Bamboozle Festival and Columbus, Ohio’s Rock on the Range.

Upcoming international festival highlights include the Download Festival in the United Kingdom, Germany’s massive Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, Sweden’s Metal Town, Belgium’s Graspop, Austria’s Nova Rock and Italy’s famed Gods Of Metal. The international release of Fever is April 26th.

Welsh metalcore band Bullet For My Valentine have announced "Fever" as the title for their upcoming album (out sometime in April.)

The band released a new song titled "Begging For Mercy" available for free download, if you share it with your facebook or twitter friend list, as in tweet it to hear it.

Future Serial Killer?

Believe it or not, that's Corey Taylor from Slipknot, he was the host of Monday's Kerrang! Awards and from what it seems like, the dude went balls out about the whole idea of hosting the show, and decided to go well looking like this (pointing at the picture above) Corey has an unlimited credit limit at the bank of awesomeness, and I'm pretty sure that when the awards footage surfaces, it'll be hilarious.

ANYWAY! the winners list has been released, while some of them are douchefull, others well... there has been better times...
