Can't believe I totally spaced posting about the new GOJIRA song "Of Blood And Salt" since I've been listening to it nonstop for the past week or so.

After months and months of waiting for the much talked about Sea Sheperd EP. The song "Of Blood And Salt" made it's way onto the internet before it's actual release (AKA the song was leaked)."Of Blood And Salt" features the mighty Fredrik Thordendal (MESHUGGAH) and the even mightier Devin Townsend (Ex-STRAPPING YOUNG LAD).

Go ahead and have multiple neck breaks to this mammoth of a collaboration!

The EP is set for release in September, and will feature guest appearances by LAMB OF GOD's Randy Blythe (Holy Fuckness!!), IN FLAMES' Anders Friden, and SOULFLY/CAVALERA CONSPIRACY's Max Cavalera. And even god damn better! The Sea Shepherd EP will be followed by A NEW GOJIRA FULL LENGTH ALBUM (which you can read about more over on Metal Hammer UK where they interviewed the mightiest Joe Duplantier). Go ahead and start punching a wall with your head out of excitement!
[PRESS RELEASE]
DEVIN TOWNSEND took over the progressive metal movement last year. With the release of 'Addicted' and subsequent touring across the globe, the former STRAPPING YOUNG LAD frontman has never had a higher profile - a point proven by the numerous sell-out performances on his most recent European tour. This continues to be the case in 2011, as DEVIN TOWNSEND gears up to release not one, but two brand new albums on June 20th via InsideOut Music. 'Deconstruction' and 'Ghost' are the final two chapters in Hevy Devy's four-album concept series (along with 'Ki' and 'Addicted') and are sure to be two of the most talked about albums of the year!

Not only will TOWNSEND release two new albums, but he is also excited to announce that he will serve as direct support to Children of Bodom on their upcoming tour through North America. Additional support on the trek will come from Septicflesh and Obscura, who will alternate the opening slot each night. Presented by REVOLVER Magazine and Guitar World, the tour will be DEVIN TOWNSEND's first to promote the new albums and sees him joining forces with one of metal's most respected acts, Children of Bodom, on their first North American tour since 2009.

Devin had the following to say:

"NAMM time again, and I'm very much looking forward to meeting up with folks who are able to attend as well as the companies whose generosity and understanding of my musical vision allows me to do my job. The guitar I have worked on with Peavey has quietly been released in it's first incarnation (the version I used all last year) and we are on the verge of releasing a fine tuned version in conjunction with 'Deconstruction'. Alvarez acoustics and Mackie have invited me to play an acoustic show at NAMM as well as several signings and DVD performances which will all be seeing the light of day around the release of the two records, 'Deconstruction' and 'Ghost'.

KING'S X recently released their wildly acclaimed 'Live Love in London' CD/DVD combo and are now excited to appear at NAMM on Friday, January 14th with the following scheduled events.

KING'S X [Fri, Jan 14th]
  • 1pm - 1:40pm - Mackie stage
  • 3pm - 3:40pm - Mackie stage
