Youtube is probably bigger than T.V. by now; judging by the amount of time people spend in front of their computer screens, they are bound to stumble onto something interesting, funny, random, or just brain-dead stupid.

With that being said. Youtube has always served as a source for countless hours of entertaining videos: from flying cats in the sky leaving trails of rainbow, to bedroom Jedi masters...it's all there!

Youtube user Rob Scallon decided to create a metal song using Youtube comments submitted by users and had his friend Eddie Guillen sing them. The resulting video can be viewed below:

[PRESS RELEASE]

Pennsylvania brutal death metallers ANTIKYTHERA have released a new music video for the song "Element Nexus," from the forthcoming album 'Cosmicism.' Recorded by Len Carmichael (Swashbuckle, The Binary Code) and artwork by Mallika Sundaramurthy of Boston's ABNORMALITY. The clip was directed by Rich 'Bebo' Abraham and can be viewed below:

Formerly known as Her Virgin Womb, ANTIKYTHERA was formed after the members of HVW could not agree on which direction the band's future writings would take. In early 2011, with a completed lineup, began to immediately play shows and record a three-song demo, which would later become 3 of 7 tracks that make up the band's 'Cosmicism' release.

ANTIKYTHERA is:
James Dorton - Vocals (Nightfire)
Joe Boccuto - Guitar (ex-Her Virgin Womb, ex-The Black Dahlia Murder)
Kevin Elliott - Guitar (ex-Her Virgin Womb)
Dave Spencer - Bass
Jess Beahler - Drums (Jungle Rot, Nightfire, ex-Her Virgin Womb)

[Ed note: 13 DAYS LATER are featured on our latest digital compilation "Volume 2: Sounds of The Middle East" with their song "Razor Roses and Black Tomorrow."]

I haven't heard much for AMARANTHE before. I've heard claims that they might be the next big thing in female fronted metal bands. But haven't heard much besides promo clips.

My first actual encounter with the band was when the funny guys in XERATH posted about AMARANTHE's video for the song 'Hunger' with the caption "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS????" Which instantly cracked me up (not at AMARANTHE, but at XERATH's reaction).

So I decided to give the song a chance. That didn't turn out so bad. It's a pop metal song, with good cop/bad cop vocals; catchy for the most part. But I just can't get over the Universal bumper used at the beginning of the video.

I enjoy my share of melodic death metal with pop influences (SCAR SYMMETRY and ENGEL to name a few) and AMARANTHE are basically following the same formula with little tweaks here and there, I can see the band touring with acts like Dead By April and they would probably pack the place. The band gets a plus 1 in my book nonetheless for having Olof Mörck (Nightrage) among it's ranks as lead shred meister.

Stream "Hunger" below and then tell us what's your take on pop metal?

AMARANTHE's new self titled studio album is out now via Spinefarm Records.

And make sure to also like XERATH on Facebook to follow their hilarious status updates!

Michigan metallers, LEGEND, released their latest video for the song "Circle of Friends" taken from the band's new album "The Pale Horse" out now on Rise Records (Click here to order via iTunes).

ARCH ENEMY performed for the first time in Casablanca, Morocco at Boulevard Festival on May 14th.

The band's live sound engineer Clem Bennett posted a 3 minute clip of the band's trip, which shows the stage set-up as well as how the band had to reschedule their performance to the next day due to heavy rain; ultimately putting on a killer show nonetheless.

ARCH ENEMY's latest studio album "Khaos Legion" will be released May 30th via Century Media Records

Indian extreme metal band The Down Troddence have released their debut video for the band's third song "Shiva."

"Shiva" is sang in Sanskrit, so I can't understand what vocalist Munz is singing about. But luckily the video comes with an in-depth description about the song's meaning, explaining the video as well in the process. It also helps that there's a dude totally ripping his own guts out midway through the video. That should assure you a certain level of brutality right there!

"The music video depicts the story of Raavana's penance for Lord Shiva's blessing. Angry at Shiva's silence, Raavana goes to Kailasa and plays this shloka with a veena made out of his intestine.
The video also shows Pottan Theyyam(an art form which tells the story between Sankaracharya and Lord Shiva).
It briefs the meeting of Lord Shiva disguised as Pulayan(down trodden) with the intention to further test Sankaracharya's knowledge who is proud of himself and about to ascend "Sarwanjha Peedam" (throne of knowledge)."

"The lyrics of the song is in Sanskrit language, an ancient language of India depicting the stories of Hindu Mythology. As the band also derives some of the influences from Vedic Metal, the lyrical part is an adaptation of 'Shiva Thandava Sthothram' - an extempore-poetry where Raavana(a demon character in Hindu Mythology) praising Lord Shiva for getting his blessings when Lord Shiva didnt appear before his penance."

The guys were also nice enough to send us their full profile/bio to help understand their background more.

"THE DOWN TRODDENCE, more commonly known as the acronym ‘T.D.T’ is a 6 piece metal band from INDIA/North Kerala/Kannur .Thrash/Prog/Melo Death are various genres this band experiments with.

Their songs articulate the illness of the social system and its dismal failures. This band dream of an ultimate social revolution....And confronting the social system. Kannur can attribute itself very little to ANY rock music tradition or fan circles. Majority are still after the colorful numbers of love and lust which drug them into 'LOTOS EATER' dreaminess and lull them to a suicidal ignorance of the contradictions of the society. The band chooses to intervene into their lives, shatter their world of seeming cosines and let them have a glimpse of the scorching realities around them and in them. Variously influenced in musical interests, the members of the band are steadfast to the Death metal variant."

The New England Metal and Hardcore Festival is one of the longest running yearly festivals in North America, and Metal Injection was there this year to provide an exclusive video report on all the happens. The 4 minute video clip features interviews with members of Job For A Cowboy, Cephalic Carnage, Dying Fetus, Times of Grace, A Life Once Lost, Volumes, Structures, The Ocean, Lionheart and LaZarus AD discussing their experiences at the fest and what playing the show means to them.

IN FLAMES debuted their latest video for their brand new single "Deliver Us" taken from their upcoming album and Century Media debut "Sounds of A Playground Fading" out June 21st in the U.S. and June 17th in select European countries. The video was directed by Patric Ullaeus for Revolver Film Company.

It seems like IN FLAMES and Century Media will be going all out with promotion for the new record as we received 3 different emails about the video in the past few hours from 3 different PR companies.

UAE death metal juggernauts NERVECELL, posted the first webisode for the recordings of "PSYCHOGENOCIDE" on their official Youtube channel.
For some reason I can't find it in me not to type the album's title in all caps. Because seriously that's one sick title, as you read it you can sense it's a title meant to be screamed out loud, and not said by your normal speaking voice.

What I'm trying to get at here is that "PSYCHOGENOCIDE" is a death metal beast charged with thrash metal intensity and sprinkles of middle eastern influences to give it the fuel to run on full power from start to finish. It's a package of full blown brutality that should be owned by any self proclaimed middle eastern metal head. And now European metal heads can find out what all the heavy is about.

The webisode also features footage of PSYCROPTIC monster drummer Dave Haley laying down his venomous fills! Seriously, if you didn't order this record in CD or digital form by now, then you're a douche. You can find links to buy it everywhere below.

[You see Rami is pointing at YOU! To go buy it now!]

[PRESS RELEASE]

Scottish death metal act CEREBRAL BORE have released a new music video for the track "Maniacal Miscreation", the title track from the band's debut album.

The video for "Maniacal Miscreation" was filmed with director PHIL BERRIDGE of CREATIVE JUNKIE MEDIA - who was also responsible for the band's first video, "The Bald Cadaver".

Watch the new official music video for "Maniacal Miscreation" now below:

CEREBRAL BORE frontwoman SIMONE "SOM" PLUIJMERS comments:

"Shooting the video for 'Maniacal Miscreation' was great but very cold; you can see the blood pulling out of our white, freezing faces. Compared to the video for 'The Bald Cadaver', we were done within no time, as we all knew what to do and what to expect.

"For the ones who have seen our new music video, you can already see what it is about. Basically to put it between short lines, it's about a 'tar man' who is the maniacal miscreation. Also, you might have noticed there are again photos in the video as we did in 'The Bald Cadaver' - we try not to have too serious videos, so a laugh is needed on its time! This time we put down a contest on Facebook: 'Get your grandparents in our new music video'. The people you see on the photos are: Susan Boyle (we, again, needed something Scottish in it for a laugh), Putrid Pile (Shaun)'s grandpa, and two others I can't remember the names of.

"It was a good laugh and you might see 'making of' footage of the video soon or on an upcoming DVD somewhere in the future! We hope you all enjoy our video."

CEREBRAL BORE drummer ALLAN MCDIBET adds:

"It was cold, a bitch to shoot. But it was fucking awesome!"

These two new videos for Born of Osiris and Conducting From The Grave flew right under my radar. But luckily as I was going through my Youtube subscriptions I stumbled onto them.

I still didn't get a chance to listen to the new Born of Osiris album "The Discovery". I did listen to Conducting From The Grave's recent record Revenants and honestly, I was a little let down; maybe I expected more.
