Old school thrashers will no doubt be familiar with the sonic balls out sound of Germany's ACCEPT. Back in the early 80s, during the rise of Thrash Metal. The bay area scene was not the only scene head banging to the fast and chaotic sounds, made famous by the big four (Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax).

During the same time period, Germany was the birth place to one of the genre's most influential scenes, producing the Teutonic Thrash Metal scene, led by the likes of Sodom, Kreator, and Destruction, among many others. The Teutonic Thrash Metal Scene became one of the leading exports in the international metal market, along with the Brazilian Thrash Metal scene (led by Sepultura), the Canadian Thrash Metal scene (led by Annihilator and Voivod) the East Coast (New York/New Jersey) Thrash Metal scene (led by Anthrax, Overkill and Whiplash).

In today's scene, thrash metal is being revived by a legion of bands from around the world, that the media decided to label as "retro-thrash metal" bands. Such as U.K.'s face melting EVILE, and Savage Messiah. While Thrash metal is blowing up in the U.S. again, thanks to the likes of, Wisconsin's Lazarus A.D., Virginia's Municipal Waste, and Pennsylvania's criminal thrashers Rumpelstiltskin Grinder, among many more.

Earlier this year, during the summer; ACCEPT decided to slay all thrash newcomers by releasing a new record; their first since 1996's Predator. And the first album to feature new vocalist Mark Tornillo. "Blood of The Nations" was released on August 20th via Nuclear Blast and has become the band's highest charting album, since 1983's classic "Balls to The Wall."

Germany ain't slowing down, as the mighty SODOM will be releasing a new record on November 22nd in Europe, and January 11th (2011) via Steamhammer Records, titled "In War And Pieces" which you can pre-order here.
Earlier yesterday, a Twitter bug was discovered that allowed users to force other users to follow them, by typing "accept" followed by the desired username (accept username). The bug was discovered when a Turkish metal head named Bora Kırca, was rocking too hard to German heavy metal legends Accept, and ended up tweeting "Accept pwns" only to find out that the user @pwns started following him.

Naturally, what he did next was make a shit load of celebrities follow him, and then the Twitter frenzy blew up. Gizmodo, Mashable and many other social networking/tech sites as well as Blabblermouth, picked up the story, since then Twitter had to reset all users followers to "0" for a short time to fix the bug, and have been successful.

Conan O'brien
, who joined Twitter after the late night wars, tends to always have something funny to tweet about, was one of many celebrities that were forced to follow other users.

The best thing about this, is that the recently reformed (with a new line up) Accept just released a new video for the song "Teutonic Terror" from their latest album "Blood of The Nations" out September 14th via Nuclear Blast Records. The album is the band's first in 14 years, and if anything this whole Twitter buzz should really help boost talks about the band's return.

Plus, "Teutonic Terror" has got a killer old school riff that will get you head banging instantly.
