[Press Release]

TheRave.com will be streaming Knoxville TN death metal band Whitechapel live in concert from The Rave/Eagles Club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA. Impending Doom, Miss May I, Oceano, and I Declare War are also scheduled to be part of the concert and the live webcast. The worldwide broadcast will begin at 7:30pm ET (6:30pm CT/4:30pm PT/11:30pm GMT) on Tuesday, October 19th. The concert is also scheduled to be rebroadcast at a later date to be determined.

Whitechapel is touring in support of their latest CD "A New Era Of Corruption" on Metal Blade Records. The CD was released this past summer and showcases a group who are imposingly focused and determined to write the heaviest, most intense and dynamic music possible. “We didn’t want to put out ‘This Is Exile: Part Two’, and this is definitely a real progression from that record – but, at the same time we wanted it to sound like Whitechapel,” Wade asserts. “Having played with bands like Slayer and Cannibal Corpse, you realize that one of the reasons they’ve been around so long is because they’ve created a certain sound and they’ve stuck to that. Fans want to hear their favorite band sounding like their favorite band, and while we’ll always grow, that’s something I think we’ll strive for on every record from now on.”

The stream is FREE for fans around the world to view from the comfort of their home computers. Visit http://watch.therave.com for more information on how to be a part of this exclusive event.

Noisecreep are currently streaming a new song from WHITECHAPEL's upcoming album "A New Era of Corruption."

The song is titled "Breeding Violence" which has a very similar vibe to "This Is Exile," specially in the chorus department, as well as the bludgeoning riffing and all the juice to aid the song's brutality.

Brutal fuckers WHITECHAPEL posted the "making of" the band's latest video for "The Darkest Day of Man" from their upcoming Metal Blade Records release "A New Era of Corruption" out June 8th.

No, that is not Bill Kelliher.
Death metal band WHITECHAPEL posted a new track titled "The Darkest Day of Man" from their upcoming album "A New Era of Corruption" out June 8th, via Metal Blade Records. This song will no doubt fuck your face up!

A New Era of Corruption is set to be released on June 8th via Metal Blade Records.
"The album is finally 100% complete and we couldn't be more excited. I think this record truly represents where we are as musicians at this point in our career. A New Era of Corruption is the heaviest and most aggressive material we have written to date," comments guitarist and founding member Alex Wade.

"Some of you may notice that the title of the new record, A New Era of Corruption, is a line from the song 'Possession' off of our last album This Is Exile. We wanted to name the CD this to bring a little flavor from 'This Is Exile' into the new CD, as well as I think the name represents this new age of extreme metal that we are currently rising in. The album is not a concept record like This Is Exile was. It just has its own general theme and each song deals with its own topic track by track."

Handling artwork for
A New Era of Corruption is Brent Elliot White. Alex comments, "Brent handled the artwork for the record and absolutely nailed it. The dark and ominous vibe he portrayed with his art fits the mood of the CD perfectly."

"A New Era of Corruption" features guest vocals from Vincent of The Acacia Strain on the track Murder Sermon and Chino from the Deftones on the track Reprogrammed to Hate. Alex elaborates, "Vincent has been a long time friend of the band and we have always talked about him doing guest vocals on one of our records, so naturally his style of vocals fits our music perfectly and sounds great. We're honored to have Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno on our record. All of us are huge Deftones fans so it's pretty surreal for us. He absolutely killed his part on the album and it's everything I envisioned it would be. Plus it's cool that Chino was so opened minded to do vocals on something so extreme; I think that it sounds fantastic."

In the studio report we get to hear some samples of the new (riffage!) material, and also get to discover the most important element to the album (apparently a cat).

The as-yet untitled new album will be released sometime in the spring of 2010 (Happy New Year, ya'll!)

Deathcore juggernauts Whitechapel posted the following press release concerning their next Metal Blade Records album:

Just home from touring with Trivium and Chimaira and closing out an extremely busy and successful year, Tennessee’s WHITECHAPEL are now set to head into the studio December 27th to January 31st with infamous metal producer Jason Suecof (Trivium, All That Remains, The Black Dahlia Murder, Chimaira, DevilDriver and many more).

WHITECHAPEL are set to record the follow up to the band’s crushing Metal Blade debut, This is Exile, at Jason’s Orlando, FL based Audiohammer Studios.

Be sure to stay tuned to Whitechapel’s and Metal Blade’s sites as more information regarding guest vocalists, studio updates, and video updates will be posted throughout the band’s recording process.

Guitarist and founding member Alex Wade comments:

"We're really excited to announce that we will be hitting the studio in January with a producer who needs no introduction, Jason Suecof. Suecof has produced some of the most brutal metal albums to date and we are excited for him to get his hands on our new material to make it the heaviest music we've created thus far.

Also, Dusty Peterson has been signed on to handle the artwork duties. His dark, yet meticulously detailed style of hand drawn artwork is sure to bring out a truly vivid and brutal masterpiece.

We really wanted our artwork for the record to speak as loudly for us as the music we are creating, thus, Dusty was picked for his unbelievably realistic and detailed hand drawn style. In this day and age where downloading a CD is as easy as typing the cd's name into a search bar, we wanted to make the artwork something creative and special for the fans who actually purchase the CD. Almost like owning a piece of art.

As for the title and tracklisting, you'll just have to wait for that as the CD comes closer to completion."

This is Exile was unleashed on July 8th, 2008, and debuted at #118 on the Billboard top 200 charts, #2 on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers, and #14 on Billboard’s Top Independent albums. An accomplishment that is impressive for veteran artists, much less a relatively brand new metal act.

Keep your eyes out for tons of updates via our twitter, myspace, and youtube channel. We'll be posting tons of videos and pictures from the pre-production process, to the actual recording, and everything in between.
