BareBonesMusic.com sat down with Tim Lambesis (vocals) and Phil Sgrosso (guitar) from AS I LAY DYING. Evil G. sits down to discuss the current tour and why it's so important for the band to hit smaller markets and venues. The meaning behind the band's lyrics including tracks such as "Anodyne Sea" and "Upside Down Kingdom" from their latest release The Powerless Rise.

Tim and Phil also tells us some of the best things they've heard from fans and how it keeps them motivated on the road, thoughts on YouTube videos covering the bands songs, what they do to keep busy while on the road and the stunt they never what to have happen to them from their road manager and much more. PLUS: Live Performance footage!

AS I LAY DYING premiered a new video for the song "Anodyne Sea" through Craveonline.com, taken from the band's latest studio album "The Powerless Rise" out now via Metal Blade Records.

The video shows the band being kidnapped by guerrillas, and taken hostage. The entire video was shot in first person mode, from the POV of drummer Jordan Mancino.

It's always awesome when a band decides to shoot a video, with an actual story that involves the members, and what's even better is that the video also captivates the viewer through out it's playtime. I prefer this video much more over the 94 Hours rehash one for Parallels.

Metalcore heavyweights As I lay Dying posted a new video for the song "Parallels" from their latest release "The Powerless Rise," out now on Metal Blade Records.

As I Lay Dying posted a teaser for their upcoming video for the song "Parallels" from the band's latest release "The Powerless Rise" out now via Metal Blade Records.

The teaser shows a few scenes from the video, which highly resembles (if not identically) the video for the band's song "94 Hours" from their 2003 release "Frail Words Collapse," with the main difference being that the band looks more br00tal now.

Metalcore heavyweights As I Lay Dying are currently streaming a new song titled "Parallels" on the album's official site. The song comes from the band's upcoming album "The Powerless Rise" out May 11th via Metal Blade Records.

Happy 4/20 Everybody :)
As I Lay Dying posted a new sample clip for the song "Beyond Our Suffering" from their upcoming album "The Powerless Rise" out May 11th.

The sample didn't do much for me, the studio clips didn't live up to the thumbnail either (0.0). I hope the album has better material on it.

Here's 2 new studio clips the band posted with producer/metal powerhouse Adam Dutkiewicz.

The Powerless Rise will be out May 11th via Metal Blade Records.

As I Lay Dying announced "The Powerless Rise" as the title for their 5th studio album, which the band is currently working on.

Following the release which should be sometime in the spring, the band will be going on a headlining tour.

The album will be produced by Killswitch Engage guitarist/producer Adam D.

Release date as well as more information on the band's tour plans will be announced in the coming months.

Here's an interview with front man Tim Lambesis (who's awesome for rocking out a Nervecell t-shirt) conducted by Metal Blade Records founder/owner Brian Slagel, where he discusses the new album.

Nervecell are currently devouring planet earth location after location, promoting their latest aswell as their Lifeforce Records debut "Preaching Venom".

The band will be going on the road again in March, for the "Legacy of Blood European Tour 2010" which will be headlined by New York's toughest mother fuckers SUFFOCATION, one of the pioneers in the death metal genre, and who simply burst out brutalness. Also on the bill will be Annotations Of An Autopsy, Fleshgod Apocalypse and Burning The Masses.

The band issued the following:

"We are very proud to announce that NERVECELL is now confirmed to tour Europe / UK with US Death Metal legends SUFFOCATION! The tour entitled Legacy of Blood European Tour 2010 will be taking place in March 2010. Also appearing on this tour are Annotations of An Autopsy (UK), Fleshgod Apocalypse (Italy) and Burning The Masses (US).

It's a great honor for us to tour with Suffocation, as they have been a major musical influence on every member of Nervecell. We grew up listening to Suffocation and to go on the road with them is just mind-blowing for us! The band is proud to be the first from the Middle East to tour alongside one of the fore fathers of the death metal scene. Nervecell have recently completed 2 successful European tours in June/July & October 2009 - European Festival Tour 2009 and Preaching Venom European Tour 2009 and we cannot wait to return to perform for the killer European audiences early next year with Suffocation."

That's not all the band will also join metalcore heavy weights As I Lay Dying for their show in Colombo, Sri Lanka at the Sugathadasa Stadium. This will mark Nervecell's first performance on Sri Lankan territory,

Comments the band:

"We had played with AILD at Dubai Desert Rock Festival 2008 and it’s really great to be sharing the stage with them once again, only this time in a whole new country! This will be Nervecell’s first ever live show in Sri Lanka and the band is really looking forward to see some crazy Sri Lankan metal fans come down and go crazy!!!"
