Last Friday, Djentle Beasts PERIPHERY premiered their latest single for the song "Make Total Destroy" off their upcoming album "Periphery II" which is scheduled for release July 3rd via Sumerian Records.
A few hours ago, another song -which was floating around the internet- was officially posted as well, titled "Scarlet" (originally written by Misha Mansoor for his instrumental project Haunted Shores)

Musically, I really enjoy what Periphery has to offer; catchy, groove'tastic rhythms, with high production. Misha seems to belt out even more riff madness on the new record; will have to wait and hear the rest of the album.
Until July 3rd; here's the official stream for "Make Total Destroy" and "Scarlet"

Melodic Deathcore 5-piece A WANTED AWAKENING from the City of Lowell, Massachusetts have just released “Final Ascent: Exiled” the first track off of their new upcoming album “ Catharsis” which is coming out Sunday, June 24th.

“Final Ascent: Exiled” is one of the most intense tracks off of “Catharsis” and will surely grab your attention right from the beginning. It tells the story of a woman who was wrongly accused of murder and the song takes you from the courthouse to the jail cell in exciting fashion.

Catharsis will be available everywhere on June 24th

A Wanted Awakening is a metal five piece based out of Lowell, Massachusetts. Piecing together influences from death metal acts like The Black Dahlia Murder and Through The Eyes of The Dead, as well as progressive acts like Between The Buried And Me and Protest The Hero, A Wanted Awakening has really formed a sound that stands on it’s own. When listening through the tracks on their newly release EP Rebirth, it quickly becomes apparent this is not your typical deathcore act. While maintaining the fast, heavy sound that drives the currently thriving deathcore scene, A Wanted Awakening also creates soaring soundscapes and unique instrumental sections, transcending the limits of metal.

MISERATION have revealed another new song entitled "On Wings Of Brimstone" taken from their upcoming third album "Tragedy Has Spoken", which can be found here now:

The theme of the third album of these Scandinavians can be described as sum of the major tragedies of mankind’s history. Lyrics for “Tragedy Has Spoken” have been written by Pär Johansson (Satariel, Torchbearer, The Few Against Many) and band’s lead singer Christian Älvestam (also in Solution.45, Torchbearer), and address the diversity of tragedies. Some of which have taken the guise of accidents or natural disasters, while others were carried out with human hands and intent. Behind all this there is to find an imaginary architect, a fictive entity – something powerful, aware, far above the manmade concepts of good or evil: the nature of tragedy itself.

Musically MISERATION expand their view on forward-thinking, vicious Death Metal by integrating new instruments to the mix. There still is to find what caused the quality and sustainability of “Your Demons, Their Angels” (2008) and “The Mirroring Shadow” (2009), but in 2012 there is more than technical, intricate Death Metal with a good dose of melody. “Tragedy Has Spoken” was recorded using 8-string guitars, which gives the wall of distortion a certain distinctive flair. In addition MISERATION are incorporating folk instruments such as the Indian harp Esraj, the Persian hammered dulcimer Santur, sawblade, organ, mandolin and piano, as well as Mongolian throatsinging. Music and lyrics are globally and far beyond standard practice, so there is a lot to discover!

The cover artwork for “Tragedy Has Spoken” has been created by well-reputed artist Pär Olofsson (Immortal, Abysmal Dawn, Immolation, The Faceless).

"Tragedy Has Spoken" is set to be released on the following dates and will be available on CD Digipak and Digital:
  • June 29th, 2012 (D/ AT/ CH + Digital)
  • July 2nd, 2012 (Europe)
  • July 3rd, 2012 (North America)

Jordanian Dark Oriental metallers BILOCATE have inked a deal with the Italian label Code666 (Aural Music) to release their third studio album “Summoning the Bygones”. The album was mixed and mastered at Fascination Street Studio in Sweden with producer Jens Bogren (OPETH, KATATONIA, BLOODBATH, AMON AMARTH, SYMPHONY X, PARADISE LOST).

"Summoning The Bygones" artwork and promo track will be announced soon. Video footage from the studio diary can be seen below:

BILOCATE’s bassist Hani Al Abbadi commented on the deal: "Its an honor to join Code666 roster and a step forward in BILOCATE’s musical career, 'Summoning the Bygones' has the most intense and best material we’ve done so far. We are pleased to release it with a sub-label of one of the biggest musical companies in Italy – Aural Music”.

“'Summoning The Bygones' is an old vision with a totally new arrangement, we took the tracks and rewrote many parts of their music and lyrics from scratch but kept the old spirit that everyone enjoyed in 'Dysphoria', the album will remind our fans of what we’ve given them before but they will surly feel the change… it has many passages and will carry you into a heavy, fast, dark oriental Metal journey”, commented vocalist Ramzi Essayed.

Added Code666 label manager Emi:
"Having been a personal long-time fan of the band, there was no way we would let this chance slip past us to sign them for the new album. As a label we haven't signed many Oriental Metal, but in BILOCATE we have found a high quality addition to our roster and are looking forward to working with the entire BILOCATE team in the future!”.

The album also includes a fully modified version of "Days Of Joy" under a new name "Hypia" (which is actually the very first name this song had originally when it was composed in 2003), in addition to a brand new song and a cover of "Dead Emotion" from one of the legends in Doom/Gothic Metal PARADISE LOST taken from their legendary album “Gothic” rearranged totally in BILOCATE style, it’s a way of celebrating 20 years from the release of this amazing record that created a whole new Metal genre.

The tracks ‘Hypia’ and the legendary 20-minute track ‘A Desire To Leave’ features the Metal icon Dan Swano as a guest vocalist.

The track-listing for the effort is as follows:

Boston's gnarliest crusty crossover maniacs, RAMMING SPEED, recently returned from a score of dates across the US of A with SAVIOURS. Their most recent release, a split 12" with legendary metalpunks A.N.S., is now in its second repress (on wicked green wax!) on Tankcrimes.

"This is a great split—two rad bands that play punk tinged thrash metal that know how to be serious, but don’t take themselves too seriously. Fucking awesome" - Maximum Rock'n'Roll.

Swedish djentlemen VILDHJARTA recently released their full-length debut, måsstaden, to critics' delight, winning over skeptics with their sheer heaviness and structured, progressive chaos. To show off their technical prowess, the band's own Daniel Bergström has now launched a guitar play-through of the track "benblåst", which can be viewed [below]:

VILDHJARTA's måsstaden earned the coveted title of #1 album of 2011 on Got-Djent.com, plus received rave reviews from the press. Read on for a few critics' takes on the album:

"...'måsstaden' proves that VILDHJARTA not only know exactly what they are doing, but also that they are capable of making focused, engrossing and fantastic music...When this officially drops, you cannot ignore it." -- GOT-DJENT.COM

"The trio's 3D riffs and echoplexing strums, plucks and soundtrack work are absolutely alien...'Dagger', 'When No One Walks with You' and 'The Lone Deranger' position VILDHJARTA as untouchable, forward-'thrilling' Swedes..." -- DECIBEL MAGAZINE

"An ambitious math-metal stew (or is it slough?). With this many personnel and four years in the making, there is much to feast the ears on. Amazingly, the unrelentingly dark mood never gets in the way of VILDHJARTA's intricate beauty." -- DRUM! MAGAZINE

"The math metal of MESHUGGAH meets the atmospheric prog of OPETH." -- REVOLVER MAGAZINE

måsstaden is available on iTunes here for $7.99 with two exclusive bonus tracks ("All for the Sake", "Of Others"), so download your copy today!

- Gaser"
