[PRESS RELEASE]

Jordanian Dark Oriental metallers BILOCATE have inked a deal with the Italian label Code666 (Aural Music) to release their third studio album “Summoning the Bygones”. The album was mixed and mastered at Fascination Street Studio in Sweden with producer Jens Bogren (OPETH, KATATONIA, BLOODBATH, AMON AMARTH, SYMPHONY X, PARADISE LOST).

"Summoning The Bygones" artwork and promo track will be announced soon. Video footage from the studio diary can be seen below:

BILOCATE’s bassist Hani Al Abbadi commented on the deal: "Its an honor to join Code666 roster and a step forward in BILOCATE’s musical career, 'Summoning the Bygones' has the most intense and best material we’ve done so far. We are pleased to release it with a sub-label of one of the biggest musical companies in Italy – Aural Music”.

“'Summoning The Bygones' is an old vision with a totally new arrangement, we took the tracks and rewrote many parts of their music and lyrics from scratch but kept the old spirit that everyone enjoyed in 'Dysphoria', the album will remind our fans of what we’ve given them before but they will surly feel the change… it has many passages and will carry you into a heavy, fast, dark oriental Metal journey”, commented vocalist Ramzi Essayed.

Added Code666 label manager Emi:
"Having been a personal long-time fan of the band, there was no way we would let this chance slip past us to sign them for the new album. As a label we haven't signed many Oriental Metal, but in BILOCATE we have found a high quality addition to our roster and are looking forward to working with the entire BILOCATE team in the future!”.

The album also includes a fully modified version of "Days Of Joy" under a new name "Hypia" (which is actually the very first name this song had originally when it was composed in 2003), in addition to a brand new song and a cover of "Dead Emotion" from one of the legends in Doom/Gothic Metal PARADISE LOST taken from their legendary album “Gothic” rearranged totally in BILOCATE style, it’s a way of celebrating 20 years from the release of this amazing record that created a whole new Metal genre.

The tracks ‘Hypia’ and the legendary 20-minute track ‘A Desire To Leave’ features the Metal icon Dan Swano as a guest vocalist.

BILOCATE guitarist Rami Haikal has inked an endorsement deal with the world's famous hand-made custom guitars and bass manufacturer MAYONES as his exclusive endorsement to join MAYONES artists heavy-weighted family like BLOODBATH, KATATONIA, PARADISE LOST, MY DYING BRIDE, DARK TRANQUILLTY, TIAMAT, SCORPIONS and many others.

Rami commented:

"PERFECT, this is the word which really describes Mayones Guitars! I have tried many guitars in the past, many were great but I have never found the sound & the quality which I have been looking for, not until I have played on my Mayones AXE.

I have chosen my Regius Pro AXE to have a Mahogany body topped with a Transparent Graphite Flamed Maple, equipped with the EMG81 & EMG85 pick-ups, the results were amazing, a warm yet aggressive sound which satisfies every need for a brutal yet warm sound.

As for the finishing, it was more than perfect, specially the inlays work, my Guitar features my family name written using Arabic Calligraphy, done in such fine details which shocked me the moment I saw the guitar.

I would like to take this chance to thank the Mayones team, who were really great to deal with and I recommend MAYONES to every serious musician who really enjoys a fine & a perfect instrument."

The deal will include other members Baha Farah and Hani Al Abadi from BILOCATE. More details will be announced soon.

BILOCATE is currently recording their 4th release scheduled to be out by September/October 2010.

"Playlist" a music show on the news channel Al Jazeera (English) recently documented the middle eastern metal scene, featuring interviews with Nervecell, Bilocate, Oath To Vanquish, Orphaned Land, Betzefer (if you havent heard their album "Down Low" yet, pick it up!) and TarantisT.

Here's the 2 part episode....

Alot of Metal has been going on over at JorZine.com. So without further to do, here's the latest update from Jordan's leading Heavy Metal webzine.

Interview with Diablo Swing Orchestra D.S.O

In the interview the band talks about their brand of Swing/Rock music, their influences, their
upcoming studio effort and alot more.

Here's an excerpt:

JZ: You personally, as musicians and music fans, what are your influences in and out of the metal genre of music? And is there any kind of music you all listen to, aside from metal and swing music of course?

DSO: Our musical tastes within the band are quite diverse. But it has to have a nice vibe to it and none of us is into any music that is too gloomy and pessimistic, we like it when the message is either really aggressive or positive =). Click Here To Read The Full Interview.

Interview With Jordanian Dark Oriental Metal band BILOCATE

Bilocate just recently announced that they are to be featured on Terrorizer's upcoming (unsigned bands) compilation album "Fear Candy" for their March issue (Cannibal Corpse on the cover, issue #181) the song featured will be "The Dead Sea".

JorZine conducted an interview with the band, about their latest distribution deals, plans for any upcoming shows, their album "Sudden Death Syndrome" and alot more.

Here's an excerpt:

JZ: When do you guys plan on releasing new material?

Rami Haikal: The first thing we are going to do now is to re-record our first album Dysphoria for it is a powerful album that has a lot of great ideas, but it didn’t get its chance because of many factors, one of them was our financial situation back in 2005, so the album hasn't got what it deserves as Sudden Death Syndrome has in terms of production & mixing, but now as we are preparing it to be released in mid 2009 it will be outdressed more carefully for somehow we had time to look back at Dysphoria and find ways to merge a new vision into the same tones, from what we've done so far and the expected outcome you can be assured that you'd be waiting for something much more than lets say "worthy"… yet later on by mid 2010 a 3rd album will be out hopefully as the writing process for the that album has started already… eventually, we are trying to make sure not to waste one second away from music & business… the next couple of years will have many new surprises from BILOCATE, stay tuned! Latest Reviews:
Redeemers (Feat. Silent Echo) - Halloween Show(31/10/2008)

The 31st of October was a very good day for metal in Egypt, 2 concerts were taking place, “Metal Accord” and “Redeemer’s Halloween Night”, so finally after we got to the location of Metal Accord we found out that it was canceled due to management reasons, so we did the obvious and went to Redeemers’ Concert. Which would be the first concert I’d go to in Egypt, obviously I was a little worried about this. However, all of my feelings of uncertainty were blown away the minute the concert began. There is a ton of more Metal over on JorZine.com so make sure you head over and check out some of the latest reviews and interviews, and some of the previous stuff you missed also...
Bilocate are one of the leaders in the Jordanian and Middle Eastern metal scene,
they play doom/death metal blended with oriental instruments, they call their style "Dark Oriental Metal" the band's latest album "Sudden Death Syndrome" has been getting rave reviews ! from Blabbermouth.net, Decibel Magazine, JorZine, VileNoise.com and Live4Metal.com just to name a few (Check out alot more reviews over at their Official Website)

The band recently performed a show in Lebanon at "Metal Blast II" with Kimaera and Kaoteon,

They have also been featured in "J Magazine" (The Official In-flight Magazine for Kuwaiti Al Jazeerah Airways) Discussing the culture role in BILOCATE's Journey and its effect on the Music, highlighting A Musical CD, a Book & a Movie that effected BILOCATE's Music

The band is currently crushing its way through the scene and I got the chance to ask Ramzi Essayed the band's frontman some questions about whats going on lately with the band, how are they liking the reviews, about shooting a video and alot more,
Heres how it went:

TMR: Whats going on lately with Bilocate ?

Ramzi: We have released a new album "Sudden Death Syndrome" back in June this year, we got ourselves a distribution deal in some countries in our region as the album is being sold in Virgin Megastores, Currently trying to get our album to be distributed in Europe and USA, played one concert since the album release which took place in Lebanon on September 6th this year, the album is getting reviewed by lots of magazines and we are getting interviewed and recognized as a result of the album success.

TMR: Any plans for an upcoming video ?

Ramzi: Yes, we are planning a music video that we might start producing very soon, but as you know we need to make some studies in order to provide something good.

TMR: Hows the reviews for your new album "Sudden Death Syndrome"?

Ramzi: Actually "Sudden Death Syndrome" is a success, as we are getting positive feedback from all our fans who tend to leave comments and thats pretty much apprecited, also the album is getting very powerful encouraging reviews with high ratings from big magazines and webzines, like Decibel magazine, Blabbermouth.net, Vilenoise.com, Rockfreaks.net, live4metal.com and Jorzine.net

TMR: Are you guys planning on playing in gigs outside of Jordan ?

Ramzi: As I mentioned earlier we have already played one gig in Lebanon (One of our neighbour countries), the thing is, we are'nt allowed to play live in Jordan, so any gig we'll play will probably be outside Jordan.

TMR: What was the reason you guys started Bilocate in the first place ?

Ramzi: Our love for music that grew with us since we were so young, and we have always believed that we can do something different when we combine our efforts all together.

TMR: Which bands are you currently into ?

Ramzi: If you are asking about other projects in which Bilocate members are currently contributing, there's Orjuwan a side-solo project of mine "Waseem EsSayed" which has one album released back in 2005 "Merna" and I'm currently working on a new album, and our guitarist "Baha' Farah" is also establishing a new side-solo project called Enrive, however, if you are asking about bands that we are currently enjoy listening to, well I would list the following bands: Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Bloodbath, Myrkskog, Vital Remains, Katatonia, Evoken and several more.

TMR: What advice do you have for a young musician just starting out in today's metal scene ?

Ramzi: To some extent developing out of tone music is not a bad thing, because life itself is becoming out of tone, just keep it thoughtful.

TMR: Would you like to add anything to the fans out there?

Ramzi: We really appreciate all the support we are getting from our fans, Keep it Dark!!

I'd like to thank Ramzi for taking the time to send me feedback,
Keep an eye out for Bilocate cause they will surely kick your ass badly !!
