With every album released and live show played, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD give their all, keeping traditionalist metal alive. The band is pleased to announce that Bryon Stroud of Fear Factory and formerly of Strapping Young Lad, has officially joined the group taking over bass duties. Stroud and 3 INCHES OF BLOOD have been working together on a variety of things, and Stroud is beyond pleased shift his involvement to a creative level.

"I am super stoked to let everyone know that I have joined my brothers in 3IOB," exclaims Stroud. "We are busy rehearsing for touring of the new record Long Live Heavy Metal . The band asked me to come on board as manager last year. We rehearse in my bike shop, I've toured with them in the past and being involved in many aspects of the new record has been extremely gratifying for me. I'm looking forward and see a great future for this band. I'll see you all on tour this year."

On March 27th, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD will release their highly anticipated 5th studio album, Long Live Heavy Metal. In support of the release, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD will be heading out on the "Metal Alliance Tour 2012" with DEVILDRIVER, THE FACELESS, DYING FETUS, JOB FOR A COWBOY, IMPENDING DOOM and WRETCHED. 3 INCHES OF BLOOD made a huge splash on the heavy metal community with the release of their last epic 'Here Waits Thy Doom', now the band is preparing for an exciting tour as direct support to ELUVEITIE, but before that gets started they will be making a quick pit stop into Shostroud Productions in Vancouver to record a couple of their new cuts with Sho Murray (City of Fire) and Byron Stroud (Strapping Young Lad, Fear Factory). One of the songs will be played live on the upcoming tour and will be making its way online soon. The band comments:

"It's a great time for us to be touring North America again. We haven't slugged it out in the US since Mayhem fest in summer 2010 and we're always happy to play to our loyal Canadian brethren. Everyone in the 3IOB camp have been eagerly anticipating this tour. We've never toured with a band like Eluveitie before. Their fan base is probably more similar to ours than most other bands we've toured with in the past. The Holy Grail guys are always fun to hang out with and we're curious to check out System Divide. We're extra pumped for this tour because it will give us the opportunity to road-test a new song or two. Hope everyone digs the new jams."

BareBonesMusic.com caught up backstage at Mayhem Fest with Cam Pipes lead vocalist for 3 INCHES OF BLOOD. Cam spoke to Evil G. about the current tour, the release of a Deluxe Edition of their latest record Here Waits Thy Doom, which features, videos, bonus tracks, t.v. appearances and more. Cam talks about the vocal dynamic within the band and how Justin taking on the scream vocals parts has freed him up to concentrate more on his own vocals. He also discusses getting ready to enter the studio again to record the follow-up to Here Waits Thy Doom.

Finally he tells us what one of the strangest comparisons any one has made about their band and upcoming tour plans.
