Less than a week ago, the band was forced to pull SHINEDOWN vocalist Brent Smith's vocals off their latest single "Not Strong Enough" for it's radio premier. As the band failed to secure the rights to use it on radio from SHINEDOWN's label Atlantic Records. And are now featuring the same track, but with HOOBASTANK's Doug Robb. [Ed note: things must be extremely bad at camp Apocalyptica]

And it didn't end there, a couple of days later the band had to pay €45,000 to German industrial metal icon
Till Lindemann (RAMMSTEIN) for trademark infringement. Due to a German advertising campaign, that apparently sold Apocalyptica's 2007 release, "Worlds Collide" with a sticker indicating that the album featured RAMMSTEIN, instead of only stating that vocalist Till Lindemann was the one featured.

Apocalyptica's new album, 7th Symphony will be released August 24th through Jive Recods. The first single off the album is the song "End of Me" which features lead vocals from Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. The brand new video for the track is being premiered on Vevo.com, which you can view below.

You can pre-order your copy of 7th Symphony at Amazon now as well.
I totally spaced the fact that Apocalyptica were premiering their new single "End of Me" earlier this month, but I guess the main reason I forgot is because Gavin Rossdale is on it.

So far the only two things I'm interested about hearing on this record are the collaborations with Joe Duplantier from Gojira and Dave (Mother F'in) Lombardo from Slayer. And I'm pretty sure Brent Smith from Shinedown will do a better job then Rossdale does here.

The song is from the band's upcoming album "7th Symphony" that comes out August 23rd.
Finnish cello metalists APOCALYPTICA will be releasing their 7th studio album titled "7th Symphony" on August 23rd (Europe, Germany August 20th) and August 24th in the U.S.

New York, NY - When it comes to symphonic metal, no one has a pedigree like Finland cello-based quartet Apocalyptica. And this summer they'll demonstrate their abundant skills and dramatic performance flair during a run of North American shows to support their upcoming seventh album 7th Symphony. The tour launches May 21 in Nashville, Tennessee at the WBUZ Hootenanny and runs through July 17 with a headline show at the Buffalo Town Ballroom.

7th Symphony was produced by Joe Barresi (Coheed and Cambria, Queens of the Stone Age, Bad Religion), and is scheduled for release August 24. The album will feature eight instrumentals plus four tracks with guest vocals including the first single "End Of Me" featuring lead vocals by Bush's Gavin Rossdale. In addition, producer Howard Benson (Three Days Grace, Creed, My Chemical Romance) returns for production duties on two tracks on the forthcoming album.

The conservatory-trained musicians of Apocalyptica (three of whom are graduates of the prestigious Sibelius Academy in Helsinki) started playing Metallica covers in 1993 and in 1996 they released their critically acclaimed debut Apocalyptica Plays Metallica by Four Cellos. But it was 2007's Worlds Collide that broke the band into an international phenomenon. The disc featured numerous guest stars. Slipknot's Corey Taylor appeared on "I'm Not Jesus," Lacuna Coil's Cristina Scabbia sang on "S.O.S. (Anything But Love)" Rammstein vocalist Till Lindemann performed on a cover of David Bowie and Brian Eno's "Helden" and Three Days Grace Singer Adam Gontier sang his heart out on "I Don't Care." "I Don't Care" blasted Apocalyptica through the stratosphere, and peaked at number one on the Billboard rock chart. Apocalyptica promoted Worlds Collide with a world tour that included numerous stops in North America.

Now, Apocalyptica are going back to shake the world again. Don't be left in the rubble.
