METAL ASYLUM OPEN AIR - Days Away From Rocking Dubai's Very Core

METAL ASYLUM OPEN AIR is just days away from rocking Dubai's foundation. The event is set to take place November 5th, with German thrashers HATRED headlining the show, along with performances by 7 local veteran bands from around the UAE.

The show will include performances by METALITY favorites, COAT OF ARMS, who are currently touring the UAE. Death metal pervs PERVERSION, heavy metal traditionalists THE CROW MURDER, and alternative rockers Shو?, among many others!

Tickets cost 100 DHS (27.99 USD) and can be purchased directly from the Metropolitan Hotel from Saturday 30th October or can be purchased at the gate on the day.

The event is 18+, unless accompanied by parents or a legal guardian.

Metal Asylum Open Air 2010 is the first metal and rock festival in Dubai organised purely by an independent organiser based in Dubai. It is also the first local festival with just one international headliner and seven local bands.

Metal Asylum Rock & Metal night decided it was high time Dubai’s musician’s have a chance to play an awesome outdoor gig and, more than that, get to share the stage with a headliner that is both well-known and well-loved here in the UAE.

And so, the idea of Metal Asylum Open Air 2010 was born. The festival will feature seven of Dubai’s top bands, from hard-hitting rock to thrash metal – Metal Asylum Open Air has it covered, plus one outstanding international metal headliner, Hatred.

Dubai favourites such as the granddaddies of Dubai death metal, Perversion, will share a stage with local metal newbies Coat of Arms.

“After the success we have had over the last two years I think it is about time for Metal Asylum to do something unique and different to help the UAE music community. The local bands deserve an open air festival like any other international band and that is the whole point of the festival. I have seen Hatred two years ago and they were fantastic and I saw more people headbanging to them then for the headliner, so we thought we must get them back here to headline our festival and, you never know, maybe this time people will headbang more to the local bands!” says Rodi Hennawi, Metal Asylum Open Air organiser and creator of Metal Asylum Rock & Metal Night.

Metal Asylum Open Air 2010 will be held at the Metropolitan Hotel softball ground on November 5th from 1pm until 11pm.

Gates open at 1pm and the first band is on at 2pm
