"A Word" with Jim from Samadhi !!

Samadhi is about to release their debut album "Incandescence" which will be a very promising and fresh release in today's metal scene.

I got the chance to catch up with band's bass provider Jim and ask him about the new album, working with Peter Wichers, among other topics.

Here's how it went :

Horns: How are things going with the Samadhi Forces?

Jim: Things are going great! Getting this CD ready for the official release date, we have had a ton of pre-orders!

Horns: You guys worked with Peter Wichers on this album how did that happen and how was the experience?

Jim: Well, I played the crazed groupie roll, and waited for him by the bus after a show in Towson, MD. He came out of the club and I asked him if he would produce our album. He said give me a CD with your contact info on it, and I'll get back to you if I like it. Two days after the tour ended, I got a call from him. He loved it and the rest is history.
The experience was great! Peter is an amazing musician, and has a great ear for music. His favorite sayings are "one more time" and "you can do it better". He pushed us to be the best we could, and it shows on the album!

Horns: What bands are you guys into lately?

Jim: Scar Symmetry (Sucks That Christian Left!), Sybreed, Mors Principium Est, Soilwork, God Forbid

*Horns sidenote: It really does suck that Christian left (had to agree and express that)*

Horns:
Are you planning on shooting a video?
Jim:
In the planning stages now

Horns: What advice do you guys have for a band just starting out and wants to sound original?

Jim:
Work hard and love what you do!

"Thanks for listening, and buy the CD!"
(Samadhi)
