About the previous entry "Vh1's 80's metal" forget it Heres "Metal Minute"

Yea,
Cross that last entry i was tired, sleepy and not functioning like a human anymore (more like a douche) so i trusted the japanese video host (which in my case never came through ...) Youku and ended up not linking the documentary properly (i dont get why offer embedded links when they dont work) anywho on with our lives hopefully someday we'll get over this massacre and pretend like it never happened (oh yea Im taking it that far...) anyway lets start it off shall we ??

First up :

Dez Fafara and the rest of the band in SUITS, you dont see that everyday (although we should ! )

Another reason i'm reporting about Dez and the rest of the gang today is they're post over on there myspace about writing a new record heres the update:


"As you all know, DevilDriver has been laying low over the past couple of months... so we wanted to give you a head's up on what has been going on over the summer of 2008 up until now.

Upon returning from Europe in July, the band has been hard at work writing the fourth DevilDriver record... as of yet untitled. I have been back and forth between NY and Santa Barbara and L.A. writing the record, tracking demos at Mike's house and spending time with my loved ones. We currently have around 14 songs in the pot that we are working with and will have 2 or 3 more finished before we embark on our final run of "The Last Kind Words" touring cycle.

Yes... it will sound like DevilDriver... a bigger, stronger DevilDriver, and listeners will receive a record which will capture DD doing what we do best. Record producer and recording location will be decided in these next upcoming weeks and we will keep you posted when a decision has been made. So please join us on our upcoming US headliner tour with Snot, Straight Line Stitch and Rosengaurd starting October 15th. You can buy me a beer."

To all you At The Gates worshipers out there !
the guys are done with they're reunion tour, but they announced a Documentary to be released some time down the line ... heres the update :

"The reunion shows for 2008 have come to an end. We want to thank everybody involved for making them happen. A massive 'thank you' goes out to our partners in The Haunted, Disfear, Nemhain, Slaktattack etc. for understanding the importance of doing these last couple of closing shows.

"What happens now you might ask? Well, we are currently working on collecting a bunch of filmed material and we will begin to film and edit some footage for an upcoming documentary.
More news about this at a later date. In the meanwhile, please respect our current status, and try to understand that our main priority lies with our current bands and prior commitments.

"Thanks everybody for making this a memorable summer for us all."
