Last Friday, Djentle Beasts PERIPHERY premiered their latest single for the song "Make Total Destroy" off their upcoming album "Periphery II" which is scheduled for release July 3rd via Sumerian Records.
A few hours ago, another song -which was floating around the internet- was officially posted as well, titled "Scarlet" (originally written by Misha Mansoor for his instrumental project Haunted Shores)

Musically, I really enjoy what Periphery has to offer; catchy, groove'tastic rhythms, with high production. Misha seems to belt out even more riff madness on the new record; will have to wait and hear the rest of the album.
Until July 3rd; here's the official stream for "Make Total Destroy" and "Scarlet"

Youtube is probably bigger than T.V. by now; judging by the amount of time people spend in front of their computer screens, they are bound to stumble onto something interesting, funny, random, or just brain-dead stupid.

With that being said. Youtube has always served as a source for countless hours of entertaining videos: from flying cats in the sky leaving trails of rainbow, to bedroom Jedi masters...it's all there!

Youtube user Rob Scallon decided to create a metal song using Youtube comments submitted by users and had his friend Eddie Guillen sing them. The resulting video can be viewed below:

[PRESS RELEASE]

Melodic Deathcore 5-piece A WANTED AWAKENING from the City of Lowell, Massachusetts have just released “Final Ascent: Exiled” the first track off of their new upcoming album “ Catharsis” which is coming out Sunday, June 24th.

Final Ascent: Exiled” is one of the most intense tracks off of “Catharsis” and will surely grab your attention right from the beginning. It tells the story of a woman who was wrongly accused of murder and the song takes you from the courthouse to the jail cell in exciting fashion.

Catharsis will be available everywhere on June 24th

A Wanted Awakening is a metal five piece based out of Lowell, Massachusetts. Piecing together influences from death metal acts like The Black Dahlia Murder and Through The Eyes of The Dead, as well as progressive acts like Between The Buried And Me and Protest The Hero, A Wanted Awakening has really formed a sound that stands on it’s own. When listening through the tracks on their newly release EP Rebirth, it quickly becomes apparent this is not your typical deathcore act. While maintaining the fast, heavy sound that drives the currently thriving deathcore scene, A Wanted Awakening also creates soaring soundscapes and unique instrumental sections, transcending the limits of metal.
