New Series ... BASHED !!! With TMR And Khalilson, First Up (Sonic Syndicate - Love And Other Disasters)

Alright so you've read reviews on here, also news and alot of interviews... but I dont remember the last time I've bashed an album on here, do you ? well the time is now ... around 4 am a couple of days ago, a sleepy Khalilson and myself decided to review (sure you can call it that too) the new Sonic Syndicate album "Love And Other Disasters" ...


The review is basically a chat log between me and Khalilson... where we tried to go through the album track by track ...

Here's a little quote from the log about what Khalilson thinks of the album to get an idea :

iRoar: well the thing is, when "Engaged" first hit, and the chorus took over all I could think of would be they need to slow down on the formula of overlaying the guttural screaming with clean singing for a chorus

its not bad
but musicaly booooring track

iRoar: it just seems like a rehashed opener

chorus is fun to the ears

the thing about the double vocal range is that its fun to the ears

iRoar: but if over burned ... will seem like a boring breakdown done over and over again

i loved the keyboards
while i aint a big fan of keyboard work in metal

iRoar: this song should be shipped to MTV asap

iRoar: I mean if this is not an accessible track from a "metalcore/melodeath" band then I dont know what is.

(SK)--: nice easy song to understand

iRoar: and their clean singer shows off his range on it nicely

iRoar: thats one little issue with this album
I really feel like the whole album is rushed in

iRoar: like the band, was rushed to release the album

when i got it i skipped through all the tracks til i got to this one
all the others wer just plain

iRoar: hahahaha the song i stopped at was "Damage Done"

iRoar: the album is very commercialized
