"A Word" With Henric from Cipher System !

In 2000, one of the band's founding members Andreas left the band to be replaced by Peter (Electronics). 2001 saw the release of the band's first real demo "Eyecon" which also received great reviews from the likes of Swedishmetal.net and Close Up (Sweden)
They recorded a 3 song promo release in 2003, which attracted record label "LifeForce Records". And by 2004 they recorded 10 songs at the legendary Studio Fredman, which became the band's debut full legnth album "Central Tunnel Eight" released through LifeForce Records in November of 2004.
After a couple of years passed since their debut release, the band is currently working on 9 new tracks with new frontman Andreas Solvestrom. And they are currently uploading video updates from the studio on their Myspace. They are also currently looking for a new record label to release their upcoming album through.
I got a chance to catch up with Henric the band's bassist and one of the original members. Henric discusses the band's new line up, their upcoming release, the little mix up they had with Dead By April among other topics.
Here's how it went:

iRoar: Hows everything going with the new line-up?
Henric: Well, the line up we have isn't really complete yet. Pontus isn't with us anymore and we
have had a though time finding a replacement for him. We have had some guys trying out, but now we have 2 really cool guys trying. We'll see how that shapes up. Other then that, we are great!! Great new guitarist (Anata anyone?) and Andreas S really screams his lungs out... couldn't be happier with them.
iRoar: Are you guys recording right now?
Henric: We are making home recordings. But we are searching for a new label as we have a new album written already.
iRoar: What can we expect from your upcoming releases (Sound your going for, lyrical theme, etc.)
Henric: You could probably hear a different song structure. Maybe not different but, more clear and not as "let's throw in every fucking riff we have" in one song. Maybe we didn't but we sounded like we did on the first album. So many tempo changes and melodies and stuff pushed in. You will still hear the typic Cipher System sound, just a little bit updated maybe?
Lyrical wise it is the same theme but written in a different way. I wrote those lyrics bethween 2001 and 2004. I started writing the new songs this year and off course I have matured and progressed since then =) So, still the theme of life and how you don't really control what you do even though you want to. And off course the typical, end of mankind. hahahah
iRoar: Any plans for a video?
Henric: Videos, well. We will probably do something, but I doubt it will be with an MTV production =)
iRoar: Which bands are you currently listening to?
Henric: The new Gojira, Hacrid, Papa Roach, The Butterfly effect. But I listen
iRoar: Did you clear the mix-up with Dead By April about 7-Inch?
Henric: I think I did? =) Anybody that knows Dead by April, know that they don't play that kind of music. But it was a mix up because Jimmie helped us on that recording.
iRoar: What's next for Cipher System?
Henric: Next up is, geting the new drummer on board, get a deal, record a new album, and get out and play in the middle of next year. We also started selling merch now, so we have to start that up a little bit better =)
I'd like to thank Henric for taking the time to answer my questions, don't forget to check the band's Myspace to get a taste of their upcoming material and also some of their previous work!
