Well it seems like Dr. Pepper better get ready to spread around those cans they promised America, Guns N' Roses are already having TV commercials during prime time television (Saturday Night Live and Monday Night Football) promoting the 13+ years anticipated album (by the way get ready to hear that frigging phrase a whole lot when the album comes out)

that put him in a coma.

Deftones' frontman Chino Moreno has issued the following update:

"It deeply saddens me to inform you all that our brother Chi Cheng was involved in a terrible car accident last night. He is currently in a Northern California Hospital in serious, but stable condition. I am on my way up North right now to be by his side along with the rest of our bandmates and family. Chi is one of the strongest people I know, and I'm praying that his strength will get him through this. Please say a prayer for him as well."

Century Media records have confirmed that Norwegian melodic black metal masters Old Man's Child are back at last... and with a vengeance.

Yup, Old Man's Child...Galder's (Dimmu Borgir) brainchild is back, here's the statement released:

The band led by guitarist / vocalist Galder (Dimmu Borgir) just returned to their Norwegian home from a trip to Gothenburg, Sweden, where they spent some weeks laying down the new unholy compositions at Studio Fredman with Fredrik Nordström, who had previously worked with the band on their "In Defiance Of Existence" (2003) and "Vermin" (2005) albums.

The new Old Man's Child studio album's title has not yet been revealed, but the release will feature Peter Wildoer (Darkane, ex-Arch Enemy, Pestilence, etc.) on drums and having freshly finished his takes for the total of 9 classy new songs, here is Peter's comment on the material and the recording session:

"After having being asked to be part of the new OMC album, I obviously went back and listened to the previous releases of the band, so I now am able to say that in my opinion, these new 9 songs are the best material I have heard of the band so far. There is a lot of more variety going on and the album will sound bigger than any other OMC record before.

As far as my performance goes, this is probably the best drumming I have ever recorded so far. I am extremely happy and proud of the session and there's a lot more double bass and blast beats on here than you have normally heard me doing, so look out for this great record!"

Lamb Of God's upcoming brutal-piece of Pure American Metal is to be called "Wrath"

Yup the new Lamb Of God record is coming this February, is it gonna kick your ass ? whether you like it or not !

Here's the official statement released:

"LAMB OF GOD will release their fifth studio album WRATH, on February 24th, 2009. The record will be released in North America by Epic and will be the first release with their new label Roadrunner outside of North America. WRATH is produced by Josh Wilbur and was recorded in studios in New York, Virginia, and New Hampshire.

LAMB OF GOD finished the touring cycle on the Grammy nominated album Sacrament at the end of 2007. The two-year trek was documented in the now certified Gold DVD Walk with Me in Hell and culminated with the band headlining arenas across the US last December.

The band has taken the entirety of 2008 off the road to focus on the writing process for WRATH.

“This album is going to surprise a lot of people,” comments drummer Chris Adler. “Typically bands that get to where we are in our career begin to slack off, smell the roses and regurgitate. We chose a different path. No one wants to hear another band member hyping a new record. WRATH needs no hype. We have topped ourselves and on February 24th you will feel it.”

As always, LAMB OF GOD will embark on an extensive tour that will cover the globe. As previously announced, the band will be supporting Metallica on the December leg of their tour. The first leg of the WRATH world tour will start in Finland on February 6th and will encompass dates in the UK, Australia, and Japan.

Cannibal Corpse reveals new album title and track listing !

Bloody Gore titans/veterans and death metal godfathers Cannibal Corpse revealed the title for their upcoming album along with the track listing:

Cannibal Corpse have dubbed EVISCERATION PLAGUE as the title to the group’s brand new studio album due out on February 3rd, 2009. EVISCERATION PLAGUE marks the follow up to the bands extremely successful 2006 release KILL (debuted at #170 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart), which has become the fastest selling Cannibal album in the band’s storied career as well as highest selling album since 1996’s Vile (debuted at #151 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart). To capture the speed, ferocity, and musicianship that CANNIBAL CORPSE has become known for the band decided to head back Mana Recording Studios with producer Erik Rutan (who also produced KILL) at the helm.
Bassist Alex Webster comments, “In Cannibal Corpse our goal has always been to try and make each new album we record our heaviest. That goal was a bit more challenging this time since we were extremely satisfied with our last album KILL, but we knew that by working with producer Erik Rutan at Mana Recording Studios again, we would be able to start at that same level of heaviness and take it even further. Now that we can hear the finished product, I would say we've been able to achieve this goal, and I think our fans will agree. EVISCERATION PLAGUE has the best guitar sound we've ever recorded, and the entire band has never played with more precision and power. We can't wait until you all get a chance to hear the album in early 2009, because we think you'll be as happy with it as we are.”

Keep an eye on the CANNIBAL CORPSE MySpace page for more updates on the upcoming album EVISCERATION PLAGUE, a new track, and upcoming tour dates.

EVISCERATION PLAGUE Track Listing:

1. Priests of Sodom
2. Scalding Hail
3. To Decompose
4. A Cauldron of Hate
5. Beheading and Burning
6. Evidence in the Furnace
7. Carnivorous Swarm
8. Evisceration Plague
9. Shatter Their Bones
10. Carrion Sculpted Entity
11. Unnatural
12. Skewered From Ear to Eye

RoadRunner United DVD out on December 9TH !

RoadRunner announced a while ago that they will finally release the concert that was performed at the Nokia Theater in Times Square in New York City on December 15, 2005 for the RoadRunner United 25th Anniversary album and they've been pissing videos lately promoting the new DVD

Am I personally excited about the DVD ? Here's a little taste of the documentary that will tag along with this awesome Live Concert.

In this clip, see quick commentaries on the show from Glen Benton (Deicide), Robb Flynn (Machinehead), Matt Heafy (Trivium), Joey Jordison (Slipknot), Corey Taylor (Slipknot), and more!

Up Yours ! if your not excited .....

About The New Slipknot Video .... hmmm

Well Slipknot released the video for "Dead Memories" which was a very predictable song to be filmed, its another very accessible mainstream feeding song (after their little pop up on the VMA's, I think its safe to say that this video is straight up for the masses, whether you say its a psychological trip or a logical orgasim ... the video has Chicks, Corey Unmasked, and band members prancing around...its no Wait and Bleed) well they managed to release a video that would piss off this die- hard fan ... this video makes Vermillion Pt.1 and Pt.2 look metal .. WHERE THE FUCK IS CLOWN'S BACK FLIPPING instead he's dancing around with chicks in the video !!!

And Corey being Unmasked in the beginning of the video...
yes yes I get the smart ass fuck twit comments "well he never wore the mask with Stone Sour" thats exactly the point... he decides to cross over the idea now and ruin his idenity with Slipknot ... now he's just this idiot that decides to wear his mask to act cool and nothing more... (I liked his first mask from the self titled album best anyway ... fuck he had actual dreads of hair coming out of the holes back then... now he's coming out of someone's hole) dont get me wrong Corey Taylor is one of my all time favorite frontmen and will always be ! and Slipknot is one band I will always support ("Fuck it all, Fuck this world, Fuck everything that you stand for, Dont belong, Dont exist, Dont give a shit, Dont ever judge me"... how can I not believe in and support a band that started off with lyrics like these back in the day !!! )

But this is too much Metallica'ing for my taste !

Here's whats to be a Dead Memory for me:

Can't wait for Wrath, and can't wait to have another laugh at Cannibal Corpse...
Roadrunners United is the next DVD i'll be picking up!

As for Dead Memories... I noticed that the video was too mainstream, but it kinda fits the song, and the song is pretty awesome. Slipknot do a lot of changes, but in the end they're still Slipknot. I never get worried that any of the weird experimenting they do will turn permanent...

Plus the video IS PSYCHO, fits, isn't it?? :D That part with Mick and Corey is cool, I would have preferred that the guy digging up whatever it was in the beginning of the video WASN'T COREY... It didn't really add anything to the video...

About the video being mainstream...it fits the song because its also a very mainstream song, it went into the same path as Vermillion did in favor of abnormal scenes ... Before I Forget had them f'ing around with the camera, but now Corey is completely unmasked in a SLIPKNOT video I dont know how much more "experimenting" they got left in the vain of what their doing before they turn into Stone Sour on a bad hair day (offcourse Stone Sour doesnt have Mick and Joey but again you never know :P).... all in all I'm still looking forward to all that is Slipknot ...(starts playing the Disasterpieces DVD)
